VOLUNTEER
Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival is looking for enthusiastic, reliable volunteers to help bring our 2026 festival to life in Washington, DC, November 5–8.
We’re looking for people who are excited about investigative storytelling, documentary film, journalism, and creating a welcoming festival experience for filmmakers, speakers, and audiences. Whether you love working with people, have experience in event production, or want to put your creative and technical skills to work, there’s a place for you on our team.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Registration & Check-In — Welcome attendees, distribute credentials and materials, and help keep registration running smoothly.
- Event Greeters & Ushers — Welcome guests, assist with seating and lines, and help audiences navigate screenings and events.
- Guest Services — Support filmmakers, speakers, and other festival guests throughout the weekend.
- Photography & Videography — Capture the energy of the festival, including screenings, conversations, and special events. Portfolio or previous experience is encouraged.
- Video Editing — Help turn festival footage into engaging content for Double Exposure’s digital platforms. Previous editing experience is encouraged.
- Social Media — Help capture and share the festival experience in real time across social platforms.
- Lighting & Tech — Assist with the technical and production needs of festival events.
Volunteers should be dependable, communicative, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. All volunteers are required to attend a brief virtual orientation before the festival.
