Double Exposure is not just a festival, but an essential forum where storytelling becomes a force for transparency. Double Exposure is the only festival in the United States exclusively dedicated to films at the crossroads of investigative journalism and visual storytelling.
Double Exposure’s twelfth edition will take place across multiple historic DC venues, featuring 25 film premieres and post-screening conversations with directors, journalists, and subject experts. The festival pairs these with a public-facing forum: two days of panels and workshops that part the curtain on storytelling and civic accountability in our contested age.
Sponsors benefit from sustained visibility across in-person events; access to engaged creators, influencers, and audiences; and digital reach beyond the festival. Please see our 2026 sponsorship opportunities below. For questions or to discuss a sponsorship, please contact [email protected].
In 2025, Double Exposure hosted Academy Award–winning documentarian Laura Poitras for a sold-out screening of her latest film, Cover-Up.
Renowned international investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, known for his work exposing corruption, murder rings, and human rights abuses in Africa, discusses the importance of undercover reporting.
