Zach Toombs is the executive director and founder of Evident Media, a nonprofit news organization producing video journalism for the public good. In its first year, Evident Media has won a national Emmy Award, co-distributed with PBS, and reached more than 10 million views across platforms. Before founding Evident Media, Zach supervised documentary programming at Scripps and reported on political campaigns, artificial intelligence, and climate disasters around the world.
His work has been recognized with two Emmy Awards, four Edward R. Murrow Awards, and recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Overseas Press Club, and others.
