With seven years of experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry, Shamara currently serves as a Theatre Manager with the National Film Festival. Throughout their career, they have gained diverse leadership experience across theatres, bars, and hotels, developing a well-rounded understanding of both operations and guest experience.
Beginning their career as a coordinator, Shamara progressed into management within just three years—a reflection of their dedication, adaptability, and passion for leadership. Their supportive, team-driven leadership style centers on empowering others, building strong relationships, and creating an environment where both team members and guests can thrive.
At the heart of their work is a passion for creating exceptional experiences. Whether leading a team, managing operations, or welcoming guests, Shamara believes that the details matter and that great experiences are created through great people.
Outside of work, Shamara loves hosting dinner parties and cooking for their “village”—bringing people together through good food, great conversation, and a sense of community.
