Randy Frisch has worked at the intersection of music, film and television for over 25 years.  In 1999 he started Lovecat Music, a record label and music publisher. Before that he was a musician and then a lawyer in the music industry.  Randy also enjoys all types of documentaries, especially music and political films.  LoveCat Music’s publishing catalog includes many diverse musical genres.  LoveCat has licensed thousands of songs into some of the best films and TV shows of the last 20 years including The Sopranos, Deadpool, Paddington 2, Stranger Things, and many more.

NAVIGATING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ISSUES IN DOCUMENTARY FILM

Legal experts will provide intellectual property training, including advice regarding fair use, clearance of music, and visuals and archival materials, with a focus on issues affecting the investigative documentary film community.  Time will be set aside for questions from the audience.
