Mads Brügger is a Danish investigative journalist, author, television host, and filmmaker. Known for his unique approach to investigative work, Mads often immerses himself directly into his investigations in what he calls “performative journalism.” His practice includes adopting undercover personas, such as posing as a Liberian diplomat in The Ambassador (2012), and delving into historical conspiracies, as in Cold Case Hammarskjöld (2019), which explores the mysterious death of UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld.
