Lynn Carrillo is Vice President, NBCUniversal News Group and serves as the primary news lawyer for Telemundo Media and its owned stations nationwide. Carrillo also works with NBC News and oversees media law at WTVJ in Miami.

In this role Carrillo advises Telemundo Media on marketing, advertising and promotions, helping to ensure legal compliance and streamlined procedures in these areas. Carrillo is also responsible for working with NBCUniversal news producers, correspondents and executives to reduce legal risks in their vigorous pursuit to report the news.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Lynn worked as an attorney at Akerman, Senterfitt in Miami where she represented clients at radio, print and digital outlets on a variety of media issues. She has litigated defamation, copyright, invasion of privacy and commercial claims in addition to providing pre-publication reviews and advice. Carrillo has worked as a reporter for the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel, and is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where she served as editor-in-chief of the university newspaper.
