Gaia De Simoni

Filmmaker

Gaia De Simoni is a journalist with experience in print, digital, and, more recently, documentary film. She served as co-producer of Bombshell, where she oversaw content, research, and post-production. In this role, she combed interview transcripts, oral histories, and archival materials, while also shaping the film’s narrative and ensuring historical accuracy. She collaborated closely with the director and post team to guide the film through every stage of production.

Prior to Bombshell, De Simoni worked as archival researcher and production assistant on Walter Winchell: The Power of Gossip. Before moving into documentary filmmaking, she built a career as a sports journalist specializing in golf in her home country of Italy, where she is regarded as one of the country’s leading golf writers. After earning a master’s degree in journalism from Boston University, she went on to work as a digital editor for NBC’s Regional Sports Network.
