Charles Poe is an Emmy- and Peabody-winning filmmaker and media executive whose work has appeared on National Geographic, Smithsonian and Discovery. Poe served as Executive Producer for the landmark series National Geographic EXPLORER and led wartime reporting from Iraq and Afghanistan. As head of production for Smithsonian Channel he exec-produced Cher & the Loneliest Elephant, 1,000 Years of Slavery and MLK: The Assassination Tapes. Recent work has included directing and writing the award-winning documentary short, Rosenwald: Toward A More Perfect Union and the one-hour Discovery special Tut’s Lost City Revealed.
