Brennan Vance

Brennan Vance is a Minneapolis-based filmmaker, Emmy Award-winning cinematographer and McKnight Media Arts Fellow. He is the writer and director of the fiction feature The Missing Sun [KINOSCOPE]. His cinematography has been featured on PBS, NBC and Starz and at film festivals such as Tribeca, SXSW, Slamdance and Full Frame. His upcoming cinematography projects include Norah Shapiro’s Magic & Monsters, Cecilia Aldarondo’s You Were My First Boyfriend (HBO) and Move Me by Kelsey Peterson and Daniel Klein [PBS Independent Lens]. Recently he and fellow filmmaker James Christenson were awarded Field of Vision’s IF/Then grant to complete their short film, To Be Reconciled, about one Minnesota man’s relentless fight against deportation.
