Antonio Méndez Esparza was born in Madrid. He is a graduate of Columbia University, where he earned his master’s degree in filmmaking. Aquí y Allá, his directorial debut, played in competition at La Semaine de la Critique in 2012 and won the Nespresso Grand Prize. His sophomore film, Life and Nothing More, premiered in Toronto and San Sebastian in 2017, and was awarded the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award. COURTROOM 3H is his first documentary.
