Andrea Conte

Andrea Conte (Director, The Unger Decision) is a writer and non-fiction filmmaker, currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. His work illustrates intersections between politics, violence, and justice, and has been previously broadcasted on CBC Television, CBC Radio, and TV Ontario. He is the co-writer and editor of Rubber Stamped, a documentary short that examines the legal case of Hassan Diab and supported his exoneration and repatriation to Canada, and the writer and director of The Echoes of Chloe Cooley, an award-winning short documenting the resistance of one woman that created the first anti-slavery law in the entire British Empire. Conte is a fellow of the Union Docs Documentary Lab, the Hot Docs Accelerator Program, the RIDM Talent Lab, and the Next-Up Leadership Program for Social Justice. The Unger Decision is his first feature-length film.
