Alanis Howard is a NYC-based filmmaker working with documentary forms, narrative structures, and archival materials. Her work focuses on stories and subjects with undeniable social impacts, because she believes every story must be a call for change.

Alanis holds an M.A. in Film & Media from Johns Hopkins University, and has participated in national fellowships and internships including a Sundance Film Festival Internship with Oscilloscope Laboratories, The Mellon Foundation’s Equity & Inclusion Storytelling Fellowship, The Civilians Investigative Theatre Company Internship, and the Dyson Society of Fellows for Writing on Film.
