Tata, directed by Lina Vdovîi and Radu Ciorniciuc, is a powerful account of violence across generations and a courageous push for truth and healing. At the heart of the film is a journalist estranged from her father. When she discovers that he has become a victim of labor exploitation, she agrees to help him expose the injustice—reopening the wounds of their fractured past. As they delve deeper into a dangerous investigation, long-buried trauma resurfaces and forces each of them to confront the pain they've carried and the truths they've avoided.

Through intimate storytelling that crosses both physical and emotional borders, Tata embodies investigative work essential to navigating a world where truth is harder and harder to find.
