Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library

A conversation with Lisa Warwick, the DC Public Library’s People’s Archivist, on the vast public record housed right here in Washington — historical photographs, civic documents, and primary sources anyone can access, often for free. She’s joined by a local filmmaker (TBA) who used the archive to help ground his own film in the public record — a firsthand look at what’s possible once you know where to look. Come learn what’s actually in the archive, and how to start using it for your own research, family history, or storytelling. Moderated by filmmaker Doug Block, founder and co-host of The D-Word.

Double Exposure offers a variety of festival passes that provide attendees with priority access to a range of events. We also offer a limited number of standalone tickets to individual events, providing a more flexible way to participate.
