Living in Amsterdam, far from the war in Syria, academic Annsar Shahhoud receives a video no one was meant to see: an army unit massacring civilians in Tadamon, a suburb of Damascus. The main killer's face is visible. His name is not.

To find him, Shahhoud invents "Anna," a sympathetic stranger online, and spends month after month befriending men inside the regime's security apparatus, one guarded conversation at a time. She records what she learns and preserves every scrap, though no court is waiting and no one can promise the evidence will ever be used. A single slip could end everything.

Sam Benstead's tense, intimate film tracks the cost of that persistence as the line between Annsar and Anna begins to blur. It is a portrait of documentation as an act of faith: building the record now, in the hope that someday, justice may call for it.
