Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival
Jodi Sakol is a Washington, DC–based documentary filmmaker. Her documentary follows a survivor of sex trafficking as she navigates recovery while building a nonprofit for women in crisis. She currently serves as the director of outreach for the Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival, managing sponsorships and public outreach. Previously, she served as the sponsorship and seminar coordinator for the DC Independent Film Festival, managing partnerships and supporting industry programming. She has served as a film screener for multiple festivals, reviewing submissions and identifying compelling independent work. Earlier in her career, she directed external outreach for U.S. Senate leadership, worked on numerous congressional campaigns, and served as the communications director for a Vice Presidential candidate.
