Sara Zia Ebrahimi is a cultural worker based in the greater Philadelphia area, with over 20 years of experience in film and video production, curation and event production, and supporting artists in community-based projects. She currently works as the Development Manager at Working Films and is a programming committee member for the 2020 BlackStar Film Festival. Her previous positions have included working as the Program Director at the Leeway Foundation, a Community Engagement Coordinator for Independent Television Service’s Community Cinema program, and the Development and Communications Director at Bread & Roses Community Fund. She describes her cultural heritage as kebab + grits + kale: born in Iran and raised in the US South by hippies. When not working, she can be found reading and watching science fiction stories, or battling dragons with her partner and a young warrior princess.
Sara will be facilitating the Fundraising Your Documentary During COVID-19 workshop.
