Roberta Horton is a graduate of Yale University, summa cum laude, and Yale Law School. Following her many years in New Haven, she clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit for Sam Ervin Jr. in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. She then joined the law firm of Arnold & Porter where she has worked (happily, diligently, and almost constantly) for more than 30 years. She specializes in intellectual property law (especially trademarks), copyrights, and domain names.
Among her many sterling achievements, she worked on clearing the Verizon trademark for use when Bell Atlantic and GTE merged. She has also litigated and provided counseling services on behalf of well-known companies such as Philip Morris USA, the PGA of America, Hershey Corporation, Swarovski, and Burberry.
