Discounts are available either through advance “early bird” sales or affiliation.  Early Bird sales end on Tuesday, July 6.  After that, you can still get a discount if you are a  student or member of one of our partner organizations.

There is no deadline to buy other passes, but there is a finite inventory and passes will only be available “while supplies last”.  Furthermore, some workshops have limited capacity and are only available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Understanding the deep impact of the pandemic in our industry and the state of the economy, we offer scholarships to journalists and filmmakers who wish to attend this year’s virtual edition, but lack the means to do so.  Scholarship recipients have demonstrated financial need and a proven track record of professional engagement in the field.

Students also have the option to attend Double Exposure through DX Academy. Yes, seniors (65+) get a 10% discount on film passes and single film tickets. Use code SENIORDX after July 6. 

The symposium will take place on Pathable. The Film Festival will launch on Eventive. A few days before the festival, you’ll receive secure links to access both platforms.

To participate, you’ll just need a computer and a reliable Internet connection. 

You can expect the same high caliber of programming that we have offered in the past, but more of it.  For example, rather than a single track of panel discussions, we will have several panels going on simultaneously, along with some new kinds of programs designed with broader, more international lens and with a virtual experience in mind. All symposium programs will be recorded. Your pass enables you to catch panels live, or at a later time if you miss them live. 

 DX2020 will feature over 30 timely discussions, workshops and master classes, pre-arranged one-on-one networking and pitch meetings, as well as its signature pro bono Legal Clinic, Crossing Borders and DX Access. The symposium will address these urgent times with critical programming and speakers who are leading the pack in daring and innovative storytelling.

Yes, pass holders will receive access to all DX public sessions to watch at a later time for a period of two months.

We anticipate a robust slate of films for 2021 with over a dozen new investigative films. You can catch the films at your convenience during the festival dates and catch both pre recorded and live Q&As.

Stay tuned for the film lineup announcement in early September.

Your Pass gives you priority access to film screenings with pre registration. After the pre registration period ends, virtual seats will be filled on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note, some films will be geoblocked and might not be available to watch outside of the United States.

Whether it’s the one-on-one speed meetings of DXAccess, Brown Bag lunches of DX Academy, or our iconic Friday night Happy Hour, it’s all about community.  We’re adapting all of these for the 2021 edition. What’s more, participants who check in early for sessions will have the opportunity to experience discussions in small groups with other registered participants.

What pass options are available for the virtual edition?

We’re offering three registration options: Full Festival Pass + DX Access, Full Festival Pass, and Film Pass. Each provides access to different programming content and initiatives, allowing you to decide which option works best for your interests, goals and project.   Please note that the deadline to purchase our Full Festival Pass + DX Access is September 21st. Can I get a discount?

Discounts are available either through advance “early bird” sales or affiliation.  Early Bird pricing is $150 for Full Festival Pass + DX Access, and $125 for Full Festival Pass. Regular prices are: $175 for Full Festival Pass + DX Access, and $150 for Full Festival PassEarly Bird sales end on Friday, July 31st.  After that, you can still get a discount if you are a  student or member of one of our partner organizations.

Can I purchase individual tickets?

Individual tickets will not be available for any of the symposium programs.

Attending in person? There are three types of passes you can order:  (1) In-Person Film Festival + Symposium Pass, also known as all-access, (2) In-person Student Pass, or (3) In-person Film Pass (films only).

Online guests can order: (1) Online Film Festival + Symposium Pass, (2) Online Student Pass, or (3) Online Film Pass.
