Cassandra Giraldo is a photojournalist and producer at Vice News Tonight. While at Vice News, she’s produced and shot long-form, immersive feature stories including “World of Hurt,” an ongoing series which highlights communities impacted by the opioid epidemic, and a 24-minute special report
“Committed: Kids & the Mental Health Crisis.”
Her
photography has been exhibited internationally and recognized by various leaders in photojournalism including Getty Images, Instagram, and the National Press Photographers Association. She holds a masters degree from Columbia Journalism School’s Stabile Center for Investigative Reporting and was recently a 2018-19 Investigative Fellow at Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting.
